Today we are sharing an episode from one of our newest series -- Strongman. It’s a show that takes on the rise of authoritarianism in a new way, by telling intimate stories about power and control at every level of society, all over the world.

This episode, host Hind Hassan takes us to Egypt, where sexual violence has often been used to silence women and limit their political power. But some women in the country have started to speak up about their experiences of sexual harassment and assault -- including about an infamous case of rape at Cairo’s Fairmont hotel.

You can go listen to the entire series of Strongman right now in all the places you get your podcasts.

For resources on sexual harassment and assault go to https://www.rainn.org/ in the U.S. and http://ecwronline.org/ in Egypt.
