"The Whale" had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, where it drew praise for Brendan Fraser's comeback performance, the rest of the ensemble's performances, and Samuel D. Hunter's adaptation of his own stage play, also titled "The Whale." Samuel was kind enough to spend some time talking about his now Critics Choice-nominated work on what he believes the film's central thesis is, what it was like finding Brendan to play Charlie, working with director Darren Aronofksy and more. Please take a listen down below and be sure to check out the film, which is releasing wide this week from A24. Enjoy, and thank you!
