Submit ReviewRichard Davies is the former economics editor of The Economist. He is also a fellow at the London School of Economics, and a former speechwriter for the Bank of England. In this podcast, we discuss his fascinating new book, Extreme Economies, in which he visits nine places across the globe that are dealing with inequality, technological change, environmental change, or aging populations to an extreme degree. We mostly focus on two chapters during the podcast - a chapter covering Santiago, Chile (inequality focus), and another covering Akita, Japan (aging focus).
