Cinematic Sound Radio's series of film, TV and video game composer interviews continues as Jason Drury sits down with Seis Manos composer, Carl Thiel.

Seis Manos, a new 70's era martial arts action series, is the first original anime series set in Mexico and debuted on Netflix in October 2019. The voice cast includes Danny Trejo, Mike Colter, and Vic Chao, along with Angélica Vale and Jonny Cruz with music composed by Carl Thiel.

Carl Thiel is an award-winning composer and producer who was raised in Mexico City and among other projects, has collaborated with Robert Rodriguez on both film and TV series including the second SPY KIDS film, MACHETE KILLS, SIN CITY 2: A DAME TO KILL FOR and FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES. Thiel has received multiple accolades, including a Latin Grammy nomination and four ASCAP Film & TV Awards.

In September 2019, for Cinematic Sound Radio, Jason Drury talked to Carl Thiel via Skype. During the conservation, Thiel talked about his work on Seis Manos, his collaborations with Robert Rodríguez and Álvaro Rodríguez (the co-creator and executive producer of Seis Manos), and his other film and TV credits.

Enjoy!
