"All Quiet On The Western Front" had its world premiere at this year's Toronto International Film Festival, where it stunned audiences with its bleak story and technically astounding battle sequences. Based on the famous novel of the same name by Erich Maria Remarque, this is the first time the story has been adapted in German for a global audience. The film has been selected by Germany for Best International Feature Film at this year's Oscars and features some of the finest crafts of the year, all worthy of your consideration for this year's awards season. Director/Writer Edward Berger was kind enough to spend some time talking with me about why he decided now was the right time to tell this timeless story again, what went into making the action scenes, and more. Please take a listen to the interviews down below and be sure to catch the film on Netflix if you have not done so already.
