Daniel Bernhardsson (founder of the Wranitzky Project) and Marek Štilec (conductor of the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra) tell us about the fascinating history and music of the Moravian-Austrian classical composer Paul Wranitzky (1756-1808). Daniel shares his story of discovering Wranitzky's music and searching for copies of Wranitzky works from archives and libraries all over Europe. Marek gives insight into what makes Wranitzky's music unique, and the challenges and rewards of conducting and recording these previously unrecorded masterpieces.

Be sure to listen to Volumes 1 and 2 of Paul Wranitzky Orchestral Works, available now from Naxos.
