Diagnoses of chronic pain are increasing, but there are big questions about the effectiveness of some of the treatments on offer  and allegations the sector has become a breeding ground for financial abuse.

ABC investigative reporter, Adele Ferguson has been investigating the industry for Four Corners she says it's "insidious", with lots of the treatments are coming from the private side, where she says there's "big money to be made".
