How will the San Francisco Giants behave during the 2022-23 offseason? Will the Giants do more of the same, piecing together a roster and waiting for top prospects like Marco Luciano, Kyle Harrison, and others to develop? Or will the Giants finally make some impact signings that have been non-existent during Farhan Zaidi's era as Giants president of baseball operations?

What is a reasonable prediction for Joey Bart's numbers next year? The Giants' catcher has been much better since being recalled from the minors in early July, so which version of Bart should we expect next year? Probably somewhere in the middle. Bart's strikeout rate remains elevated, so it's probably reasonable to expect closer to a league average batting average and OBP, with above-average power. That would make him a quality player but not quite a star.

What's going on with Mike Yastrzemski? He's been struggling for months. Should the Giants try to replace Yaz with someone from the minors? The answer is that it's reasonable to think that, but they don't have any obvious replacements ready to take over. That's a problem with the state of the organization. They don't spend big on talent, but their farm system has also been slow to develop impact talent. Same goes for the Giants' Tommy La Stella problem.
