The San Francisco Giants have had a tumultuous offseason. On the one hand, there have been huge negative emotional swings for the fan base. Giants fans thought the team was getting Aaron Judge for seven minutes, and they thought the team was getting Carlos Correa for seven days. On the other hand, the SF Giants have had an otherwise solid offseason. As things stand right now, what's the latest with Carlos Correa? He is still technically unsigned after the Mets reportedly flagged the same physical issue that the Giants did early last week. Is Scott Boras giving the Mets more leeway to work something out than he did to the Giants? Or is that only how it appears?

What are the odds of a Logan Webb extension this offseason? Webb is one of the better young starters in baseball, and it's time to start thinking about an extension. He has three more years of team control before he's set to reach free agency. There are reasons for both the team and the player to be motivated to get something done, so the odds are pretty solid that an extension is reached prior to the 2023 season. Speaking of young players, will the San Francisco Giants give extended looks to young players in 2023, or will they just jerk them around between the minors and the majors a few times like we saw with Heliot Ramos in 2022?

What projects to be the strength of the 2023 SF Giants? While at this moment they don't necessarily have a standout strength, they do have strong depth, which was a hallmark of the 2021 team. Most of that depth is in the starting rotation, where they're about seven deep before accounting for young arms like Kyle Harrison. They also have some intriguing power in the middle of the lineup, with Michael Conforto and Mitch Haniger joining Joc Pederson in the projected heart of the order. Speaking of Kyle Harrison, who's a good comp for him? It might be unfair to mention him with such names, but he compares to power lefties with firm fastballs and sliders like Carlos Rodón and Chris Sale.
