We discuss the impeachment hearings, the testimony, what we learned, and what it means for the inquiry.

Guests: Daniel Kurtzer, Amber Phillips

It was a big week for the impeachment inquiry hearings with key witnesses appearing before the House Intelligence Committee. EU Ambassador Gordon Sondland testified on Wednesday that there was a quid pro quo, that he was operating at the direction of the President, and that Mike Pence and Mike Pompeo were in the loop on the effort to press Ukraine to announce an investigation into the Bidens. Yesterday, Russia policy advisor to the National Security Council Fiona Hill denounced the “false narrative” that Ukraine interfered in the 2016 election, which she said was an idea planted by Russia. And, David Holmes, a foreign service officer said it was clear to him that the aid was held up to pressure Ukraine to announce an investigation into the Bidens. This hour, we’re joined by DANIEL KURTZER, a former US Ambassador and now professor at Princeton University, and AMBER PHILLIPS,  who writes on politics for Washington Post. They will discuss the revelations from the week’s testimony and their significance especially on foreign policy and the foreign service.
