Submit ReviewOn 19 February 1942, Nazi soldiers, tanks and planes invaded the capital of Manitoba. Seizing Winnipeg, they captured the Premier, Major and Governor General. They looted stores, burned books and threatened a death sentence without trial to all who opposed.
This isn't some alternative history fiction. This was the brain child of the Greater Winnipeg Victory Loan organization.
The event was a huge performance to raise money for the war effort, striking the fear of a real invasion into the heart of 'Friendly Manitoba'.
