Recently one of us was a victim of a hate incident in front of our kid. In this episode we discuss the incident. We reflect on why many of us, for so long, have extended grace and understanding to racist behavior and micro aggressions when what we really need is more of us calling out this kind of hate. We share a second incident where one of us is disrespected in front of our family, and why we don’t stay silent anymore. We further discuss how we felt as parents and what example we hope to set for our children in case they ever find themselves in a similar situation.
