Black lives matter.
Lana Danielyan (@lanadanielyan) moved to the states from Russia when she was 12. She went all the way through law school and working as an attorney before upending everything and becoming an actor. Then there is also the experience of dating a woman for the first time after having only dated men up to that point. And of course, this delightful pandemic we all find ourselves in is another major change, to be sure, bringing with it unemployment for many freelancers. Being used to major transitions does not necessarily make them any easier though.
Heather has a lovely chat with Lana about these life experiences, seeing what the pandemic has been like for her relatives in Russia, why Mexico City is more progressive than Los Angeles, and what on earth it means to describe a piece of art as “lesbianistic”. Also in this episode, Phantom Dick Energy.
