In 2003 Ash immigrated to the US from Iran where he lived during Sadaam bombing his city. He felt blessed to be in a first world country after a life in several countries where opportunity was limited. Ash learned that he could attend courses at UCLA and Yale for free and took advantage of the opportunities for education.

A techie in California, Ash built business and money only to be told he was going to die, but medical professionals didn't know WHY. He took it as a sign to live his life differently, more minimally, with intent to showcase people being kind. Ash and his wife Kristi and daughter Klaire moved to Reno, NV closer to Kristi's youth stomping grounds to create roots and build a life around being humble and showing kindness.

Ash uses the power of video to learn stories of people local to Reno who are paving the way to a better life with acts of kindness. His TEDx talk highlights his illness, as well as his social media posts and with his art of showcasing others, it's clear that he is among the ranks of those being kind.

Some obstacles Ash has faced throughout his life:

Moved to the US at the age of 16. He didn't speak English and had to learn a new culture.

Was required to study full time at CSUN and build his company at the same time since the family had barely enough money to make it.

Built a successful business with no money and from the ground up on his own.

Health issues that led to a realization that "we are all dying" - Link below from his TEDx Talk that references this.
