Submit ReviewWhen we first pick up a camera and decide we want to explore photography, just about 100% of our photographs are experimental. We are learning, trying, figuring out what we can do easily and what we need to learn to do. But once you've achieved the basic competence, the experimental percentage drops, precipitously, maybe even to zero. This is not good. How much of your work should be experimental? A difficult question to answer, but certainly zero is the wrong answer.
