Submit ReviewToday we welcome back producer Lucinda Rhodes Thakrar as well as director Ben Mole to talk about their WW2 indie Behind the Line: Escape to Dunkirk.
We dive into how writer/director Ben Mole came up with a fresh concept for a WW2 thriller, how Lucinda and rallied an art department meticulous enough to handle 1940’s’ period accuracy - and how a simple coffee in a Colchester car park can lead to a great collaboration.
Just like a classic genre flick, Behind the Line was shot back to back with this years earlier release We Go in at Dawn. Ben and Lucinda tell us how they did it without compromising on the high standards of a period war film.
