Health authorities are warning that avian flu, a disease that originally only affected birds, is increasingly spreading to other animals, and could pose a risk to humans.

The highly infectious disease is slowly but surely spreading to far-flung parts of the globe, and infecting other species, so much so, that scientists in Britain say the H-5-N-1 virus, has reached pandemic proportions.
