With rosters more or less set - though the Brooklyn Nets seem to keep finding dudes to add, somehow - and training camp still a few weeks away, it's a good time to look at where teams stand. This week, ESPN looked at some potential shortcomings for contenders that are perhaps flying under the radar. For the Lakers, it was whether Anthony Davis will embrace playing center. Obviously that's something talked about locally a ton, but it's easy to see how that could be a more granular topic for NBA fans out of market (given how much emphasis has been put on Westbrook's fit or outside shooting, for example). But it does beg the question, how much center is the right amount of center for Davis? Is it about minutes? Timing? Both? And moreover, how much of the conversation should be about the way in which Davis plays, not just the position at which he plays? How about a couple other lower profile concerns around the team (keeping in mind, we're talking entirely about first world issues, here - the Lakers are going to be excellent if they're healthy)? Are they putting too much on Trevor Ariza? What about free throw shooting for the Big Three? And on the flip side, what are some good qualities of this group that perhaps aren't getting enough shine? HOSTS: Andy and Brian Kamenetzky SEGMENT 1: A quick word on Paul Millsap going to Brooklyn, then a look at Davis and the five. How much time does he need to spend there? Is the need more acute this year than last? SEGMENT 2: More on AD at center. Some of the problem isn't where he plays, but how. No matter the position, he wasn't good enough last season. That has to change. Plus, are there other low-key concerns? SEGMENT 3: What about the good stuff that might not be getting the attention it deserves? Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
