In a hearing this week, U.S. House Republicans grilled D.C. officials on crime and police reform. We talk with D.C. Councilmember Charles Allen (D-Ward 6), one of the officials called to testify, about the hearing and what happens next. Plus, we'll ask Allen what he thinks of the mayor's budget, and if District residents can still expect free Metrobus rides as early as this summer.

Then, Majority Whip of the Maryland House of Delegates Jazz Lewis (D-Prince George's County) gives us the view from Annapolis. Lawmakers are rushing to finalize details for a recreational cannabis marketplace before the substance becomes legal July 1. Lewis also talks about the push to bring the new FBI headquarters to Prince George's County, and what it's like working with the Moore-Miller administration.
