For those who have lived there lives as a hermit and don’t know what it’s about, “The Exorcist” is about a demon that possess a little girl (Linda Blair) and makes her do some fucked up creepy shit until two priest come along to exorcise the demon out. The iconic scene of Regan projectile vomiting pea soup and turning her head like an owl has been mockingly copied in countless shows and movies

But before anymore is discussed about the movie lets start off with some entertainment news.

The “Power Rangers” have released their first full trailer and it surprisingly doesn’t look cheesy. It appears to be full of the typical clichés found in movies with nonconformist teenagers but not in an off-putting way.

The trailer for “Birth of the Dragon” is visually appealing and very promising, considering it’s about Bruce Lee and his legendary battle against a Monk. However, the reviews tend to state differently. This is one of those movies where the viewer will have to decide if the trailer makes it worth the risk.

In non-movie news, Dallas Fan Days is here. The AstroPanda crew will be there peddling their collectible POPs and other Funko merchandise while they spread the word of their podcasts. They will be giving out T-shirts, pins and other AstroPanda inspired gifts. Look for them there at booth 111 to say Hi.

For What We’re Watching, Ricardo kicks right in to sing praises about “Amanda Nox”, the documentary of the infamous American girl convicted as a killer in Italy.

Followed by the shows beloved by the SATS team, starting with “American Horror Story”, where Tiffany is delighted by learning the new phrase Gay for Pay.

“Ash vs The Evil dead” is still on a roll, and this episode is extra gory and disgusting yet fantastically hilarious.

“West World” is proving to be a big hit, so much so that AstroPanda has chosen to start a new podcast just to cover it. The title is yet to be decided but look for it to show up under the AstroPanda line up.

Now on to the one of the best Horror movies of all time “The Exorcist”

Since it’s release in 1973 it has made an estimated $233 Million domestically and $441 million world wide, which if adjusted for inflation would be the 9th highest grossing movie.

It is also the first Horror movie to win an Oscar. There seems to be a limitless list of behind the scenes stories that help explain what made this movie so good. Ricardo, Wade and Tiffany all weigh in on their favorite scenes and on what made this movie so memorable to them.

Finishing off the show, the team moves on to the horror version of What You Should be Watching.

Wade discusses the disturbing horror that is Rob Zombies “The Devils Rejects” and Ricardo chooses the wonderful story compilation that is “Trick R Treat”. Like many horror compilations before it, such as “Creep Show” and “Cats Eye”, this movie is full of bite-sized scenes of high quality horror.

Tiffany suggests “Let The Right Ones In” a Swedish vampire movie or the American remake “Let Me In”, both wonderful stories of a child vampire and the sad bullied boy that befriends it.

Join us next week where it would be Tiffany’s horror movie of choice, “The Descent”. Follow us on Twitter @screamatscreens.
