Paul E. Peterson, Henry Lee Shattuck Professor of Government of Harvard University and Director of their Program on Education Policy and Governance, joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the potential of children returning to schools in the fall. Peterson explains why he believes not reopening is the wrong thing to do, and explains that the best thing to do is to let kids go back to school. Giordano presses Peterson on the anti-“one-size-fits-all” ideology of the left, explaining why one national edict is important even if the virus is effecting the country in different ways. Peterson explains the idea of “human capital,” noting that it is incredibly important for students to go to school not just to learn, but to advance themselves in society.
