Has there been a crazier and more bonkers weekend of football? Well, that’s what Jeanette Kwakye tries to find out as she reflects on an absolutely incredible weekend in the Premier League. She is joined by former Bournemouth defender, Simon Francis, ex Aston Villa midfielder, Lee Hendrie and Ben Haines from 90 min. Handball, VAR, bad defending and sloppy penalties are all discussed as the team zone in on Manchester City’s 5-2 loss to Leicester, how a late equaliser for Newcastle against Spurs proved controversial, how United left it very, very late to beat Brighton and what is going wrong with Chelsea’s defence. Not only that it was the Women’s FA Cup quarter finals this weekend and Ben tells the pod of his match highlights and lets us in on the identity of a very famous footballer that he has been speaking to this week. (A little hint – he’s Welsh and is back in a Spurs shirt again!) And Lee tells the panel which result shocked him the most, and it wasn’t from any games featuring Man United, Spurs, Chelsea or Manchester City….listen to find out!
