Let's go back to 1972, as the death rattle of the 1960s made way to a more cynical time full of cocaine, disco, and lots of hair. It was also the time for pushing the envelope for animation, and no other film personifies this more than the movie we're covering this week: Ralph Bakshi's Fritz the Cat.
We take our time on this one to make sure that we cover the heavier themes of this film respectfully. Listen to us explain the more problematic aspects of the film, try to nail down what the point of the movie is, and take Fritz to task for being one of the most unlikeable protagonists in film history.
