The Red Wings lost to the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 extending their losing streak to 3 games, but it was an improved effort. The defense as a whole played much better, alllowing only 21 shots against in 60 minutes. The power play got back to its scoring ways with goals from Kubalik and Larkin, who continue to be legitimate scoring threats every night. Also, the 4th line of Czarnik, Berggren, and Veleno continue to be the most effective line at 5v5, Berggren even earning top line looks by the end of the game. But poor goaltending and penalties sunk the team. Nedeljkovic allowed 4 goals on 21 shots, at least 2 of which were softies. Detroit also alllowed 2 power play goals themselves, putting them in a hole they couldn't climb out of. But with the return of Bertuzzi nearing, how much will the 5v5 play improve? #lgrw
