On this week’s episode, we talk taking back what’s ours. Yes, we know Black History Month is over, but we’ve still got some bones to pick. In a recent NYT article, authors Kathy Gunst and Katherine Alford were called out for co-opting and profiting off of the work of a prominent Black performance artist and baker, Tangerine Jones.
Also, finally Jalaiah Harmon is getting credit for her Renegade dance after other TikTokers having been doing it (and making money from it) never giving her credit. Listen as Ashley and Marcy talk black creativity, owning our things, and giving credit where credit is due.
