Grammy-Nominated guitar virtuoso Gil Parris, is known for his special blend of Blues, Jazz, Rock and Smooth Jazz. He has recorded and toured both as a solo artist and sideman with major artists like Dr. John, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Diane Schuur, David Mann, Billy Vera, Bobby Caldwell, Toni Braxton to name just a few.
I catch up with Gil to talk about his unique style that draws on many non-guitar influences, discuss his fantastic Reverend signature models - with hints about a yet to be released update, original Klons and Tube Screamers, re-working classic tunes, developing teaching resources, the love of the jam and collaboration, work ethic and much more.
Gil's passion for music is infectious - this interview will do you good!
Thanks for tuning in.
