Authorities in Ghana say 1,000 soldiers and police officers are being deployed to a north-eastern border town after gunmen killed an immigration officer and left two others in hospital. Zimbabwe might implement a law criminalising the recruitment of its health personnel by other countries. Thousands of trained doctors and nurses have been streaming out of the country - actively recruited by head-hunters for better pay and working conditions.
