I'm going to keep having comic book creator guests until you get it through your heads that comics are the greatest storytelling medium of all time! Okay. Now that I've said that, please welcome 'White Savior' co-creators Eric Nguyen and Scott Burman onto Geekscape this week! 'White Savior' spoofs movies like Avatar and The Last Samurai and the whole idea of the white "outsider destined to save everyone"! What if they were actually an idiot? What if the real hero is an Asian American teacher who time travels to feudal Japan and has to convince everyone to absolutely NOT follow the "white savior"? We'll discuss (and make fun of) the problematic storytelling trope of the white savior, talk about releasing the idea as a new Dark Horse Comic and lots more! This is going to be a great one!
