I think it goes without saying that Game 1 of our series against the Los Angeles Kings didn't go the way we expected and that the way the boys lost was infuriating, but should we be giving up hope? Absolutely not. Let's talk about it.

Seeing as the Oilers had sky-high expectations coming into the first game of their series against the Kings, it's no surprise that the fanbase was upset about the way things went. What I didn't expect, however, is that a poor result in the series opener would be enough for some Oilers fans to say they're throwing in the towel. Does that even make sense? From my perspective, losing that first game obviously sucked but I also don't think it's the end of the world. What it means to me is that the Oilers now have a tougher but not insurmountable hill to climb, and it's a challenge I ultimately think they'll be able to handle. That's why I brought in Tyler Yaremchuk onto the podcast to talk about the night, whether there were any silver linings from the loss, and what the boys need to do differently to make sure they have a better finish in game two. Lastly, I wrapped up the bonus episode with another round of voicemails to get your take on what went wrong in Game 1 and how nervous you are about the series going forward.
