In 2020, Di founded ROOTS & WINGS Charitable Foundation to support complementary integrative wellness care for MBC patients. In this episode Di reads her essay “Impossible” from Wildfire Magazine’s 7th annual MBC issue “Legacy Stories.” It is a piece about enduring the incurable and flipping the impossible to the possible. April and Di will talk about finding it possible to renew hope while living with metastatic breast cancer, what Di would tell her newly diagnosed self 9 years earlier, and inflammatory breast cancer. They will discuss Di’s experience with integrative oncology and how that lead to her forming ROOTS & WINGS Charitable Foundation, and define what integrative oncology is.
