In 2004 I moved to the mid-west to be the person I thought I would spend the rest of my life with.   The relationship quickly soured, he was jealous, possessive moody, a chronic liar, emotionally abusive, and eventually physically abusive. I lost any confidence I had in myself. I had been an actress and performer, and an artist, and after several years with him, I was a broken person, too scared to even leave the house. Depression and fear we retaking over my life.  I wanted more than anything to learn to ballroom dance, there was a studio close to my home and it took years to build up courage enough to walk in those doors.

Dancing was the beginning of me finding my way back to myself. I became a professional ballroom dance instructor 8 months after my first lesson.  I have been a professional ballroom dancer since 2010 (covid has changed that). I have also been a burlesque dancer and was the creative director and choreographer of a burlesque troupe for 5 years.

I published my first novel last year, Beautiful, Frightening, and Silent. (currently a finalist for the Kindle Awards for the Horror Category). The novel deals with grief, surviving trauma, and domestic violence. A lot of my own experiences have found their way into my work. I have also published the Victorian Gothic Novel "From Daylight to Madness" and its sequel will be released on November 19th.
