Ali chats with Anita and Kare about friendship and how relationships ebb and flow.

About the Guest:

Some friendships last the span of time, continuing to grow and change in new ways. Kare Jacoba and Anita Voth have this type of friendship. Originally meeting in Toronto, Ontario and continuing their friendship in Vancouver, BC, Kare and Anita have known each other for over 30 years. Entrepreneurial at heart, both place a high value on biographical histories and personal growth, combining their passions in writing, reading, and teaching as the impetus to form DaisyChain Legacy Publishing. Over the years, Kare and Anita have each gained valuable experience in different aspects of business management, with both becoming published authors along the way.

Anita Voth

Anita is the mother of 3 wonderful young adult children and has been a business owner for over 30 years. From starting a business in Adventure Travel to currently owning her own business as a financial advisor and business administrator, Anita would sum herself up as a "Humanitarian with a Sense of Adventure".

Over the past 13 years she has had the privilege of teaching many teens, women, and parents, co-hosting a radio series on family and finance, being the annual financial “expert” for Shape Your World Society’s Total Makeover Challenge and teaching financial parenting and women’s seminars.   She is also a published author and over the past 5 years has worked directly in the publishing field as an operations manager for a publishing company, as well as author support for several published authors.

She is also a certified NLP Master Practitioner and Certified Identity By Design Trainer, and has spent the last 15 years focusing on her own personal development through a variety of courses and programs.

Kare Jacoba

Kare enjoyed a long career in maternal/child health, helping mothers and babies get the best start in life. Currently, she works as a companion to the elderly, helping to alleviate loneliness and reduce the burden of daily living. Her professional background includes real estate, law and education, but it was her years in maternal/child health that awoke in her a passion toward the personal journeys of individual lives. A mother to three young adults, and stepmother to four, Kare has had many opportunities to become involved in extracurricular events, community groups, and charities. These opportunities cultivated in her a deep desire to enrich the lives of others with her knowledge and expertise.

A life-long entrepreneur and ‘creative’, Kare is an experienced writer and visual artist. As a child, one of her favourite activities was sitting among the after-church-coffee-drinking adults and listening in to their conversations, learning about the lived experiences of multiple generations. Since then, she has been deeply fascinated by people’s life journeys and is very excited to help facilitate the telling of those stories for the clients and loved ones of DaisyChain Legacy Publishing.
