Welcome to PodKats, this is Kats, John Katsilometes of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. I am on page 3A, every day and online all the time.   We chat with Frankie Moreno, the Las Vegas showman who created the show’s theme song and who has headlined Carnegie Hall in October. Moreno has released a string of albums and is looking forward to mixing performing-arts center shows with his Vegas dates in 2019. Rock legend Carlos Santana tells of his musical and spiritual influences (ranging from John Lennon, John Coltrane and Jimi Hendrix), and recalls performing onstage with Eric Clapton as he returns to House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. Iconic producer Jeff Kutash reveals his inspiration for “A Mob Story” at Mandalay Bay; Kutash produced the great water show “Splash” at Riviera, and his history in Vegas dates to opening for Elvis Presley at the Las Vegas Hilton.
