Seasonal flu almost disappeared from Australia when the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Now, not only is it back with a vengeance, but the annual flu season appears to be starting and peaking earlier these days than it used to.

The good news is, there's now a different cell-based flu vaccine available, that experts hope will be more effective than the mostly egg-based vaccines many of us relied on in the past.
