When this happens, many people turn to anger, humor, overproductivity, or other STERB - Short Term Energy Relieving Behavior. These short-term behaviors do not help us fully heal, and ultimately we have to take action to resolve this grief.
Today, I am joined by the inspiring grief recovery specialist, Ed Owens. Ed is a retired US Airforce first sergeant and civilian policeman. After his three-year-old son passed away, Ed overcame his short-term coping behaviors and found his way to the grief recovery method. He is currently the Director of Advanced Grief Recovery Method Program for Grief Recovery Institute and one of 15 instructors globally who trains and certifies grief recovery method specialists.
