Here’s what Peter and Jay have for you this time (all time locations are without the opening ad): Tavares to Toronto: (00:00 - 14:43) Since we last recorded, John Tavares signed with Toronto. We give our take on the signing and the process. The Karlsson Kerfluffle: (14:43 - 27:09) First Erik Karlsson was definitely going to Dallas, then he was definitely going to Tampa. Now, who knows? Interview: (27:09 - 1:02:24) Kevin Papetti from Pension Plan Puppets stops by to talk Tavares, Toronto’s young players, and how much longer we have to put up with Toronto fans on Twitter. Crosschecks (1:02:24 - 1:08:19) We haven’t done this segment in a while, but with a lot of little stories going on, we thought it was time to bring it back. Our very terse takes on 11 current hockey storylines. Puck Tales Returns! (1:08:19 - 1:15:04) We haven’t done Puck Tales in a while because it felt like we never really got the tone that we were going for right. So, we have rebooted it as a parody of documentary podcasts like Serial. It’s only 4 minutes long, but 2 hours went into getting it just right, so we really hope you like it. RIP Ray Emery: (1:15:04 - End) Ray Emery died tragically and far too young last week. We talk about the difficulty of discussing the death of a person who obviously meant a lot to many people, but who also had very serious issues that shouldn’t be left out of the conversation. Like I said at the end, I think you can both wish comfort to his loved ones while acknowledging that he affected some people in a seriously negative way.   If you are using a podcast app, you can find both this podcast and WIIM Radio (our podcast devoted to the Red Wings) in the same channel - Winging it in Motown.
