A Federated Farmers representative says the economic downturn is hitting farmers harder than anything he's seen in forty years. The group's meat and Wool industry spokesperson Toby Williams says revenue has fallen by more than 40 percent in the last two years, while costs have gone up by half. It comes as the manufacturing sector is also feeling the strain, with falling demand forcing firms to scale back production. Employers and Manufacturers Association chief executive Brett O'Riley spoke to Corin Dann along with Tony Williams.
