In 1986, writer Paul Monette lost Roger Horwitz, his partner of 12 years, to AIDS. In the months that followed, Monette wrote a cycle of poems capturing the love, grief and rage he was experiencing. Actor Jonah Scott Mendelsohn adapted the poems for stage and performs them in "Love Alone: Elegies for Rog."
