Janice Maloney, executive director of KMKNO, responds to comments from the president of the Unified Fisheries Conservation Alliance that some of his members are worried that some of their lobster quota could be taken in order to accommodate more Indigenous access to the fishery. The KMKNO works on behalf of the Mi’kmaq to implement treaty rights, in discussion with the provincial and federal governments.
