As the world grapples with the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, Europe has emerged as a key testing ground on how to balance the risks with the opportunities.

The European Parliament this week signed-off on laws that will restrict the use of "high risk" AI products, guard against discrimination, and force companies to label fake images.
