The 2020 European Championship is finally about to start and so on this week’s podcast we talk a little about our predictions competition in which football fans try and predict the scores of the games over the next month. Play against Damon, myself (Damian) and lots of football-language fans from around the world in Languagecaster’s 2020 European Championship predictions battle. Good luck!
How to play
It’s very simple, you will need to with your email. Then simply fill in your predictions for each match and click save – remember that you can change your scores right up to kick-off time. Don’t worry if you have lost your password, you can generate a new one. Or drop us a line at
admin@languagecaster.com.
Scoring System
It’s three points for a perfect score, so for example, if you think Italy will beat Turkey 2-0 in the opening game and this is the exact final score then you receive three points. You can get one point for the right result which is when, for example, the game between England and Scotland finishes 1-1 and you chose a different score but the right result (e.g. 0-0; 2-2 or 3-3) then you will receive 1 point. For the knock-out games (that’s last 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final) the scores are up to 90 minutes and do not include
extra time.
Keeping up to date
You can find out how you are doing in the predictions competition by listening to our
podcasts – every day during the Euros, while we will also post the rankings on our website so you can see how well (or not) you are doing.
