Guest: Brigid O’Keeffe is a Professor of History at Brooklyn College. She is the author of New Soviet Gypsies: Nationality, Performance, and Selfhood in the Early Soviet Union. Her new book is Esperanto and Languages of Internationalism in Revolutionary Russia published by Bloomsbury. O’Keeffe is currently finishing up another book, The Multiethnic Soviet Union and its Demise. It’s due out in fall 2022 with Bloomsbury’s “Russia Shorts” Book Series.
