Submit ReviewIt's happened to all of us. You get into a potentially scintillating conversation with a Star Wars fan you just met. Things are going well and you think you might have made a new friend! And then they say something to the effect of "the prequels are terrible and anyone who likes them is stupid and dumb" (obviously I'm paraphrasing). If you're a fan of the prequels, that feels bad, and we here at Skyhoppers feel that people shouldn't be made to feel bad for the things they love about Star Wars. We're all a big family, right? Why are some of us so mean to others? Ash and Ben touch on that a bit, as well as the subject of gatekeeping in the Star Wars fandom, and then share many things that they love about the prequels because Star Wars should be about focusing on what you love, not what you hate.
Also, our hosts hate on Reddit a lot, but they don't actually hate Reddit. Reddit has a lot of cool stuff. However, there also happens to be a lot of negativity surrounding Star Wars that stems from there, so it tends to act as the placeholder for negativity about Star Wars on the internet. We apologize if you love Reddit. It really isn't that bad.
