Montreal faced a third straight team playing in a back-to-back situation in the Tampa Bay Lightning. For a third straight game the team looked completely outclassed and Scott has had enough of it. Fans and others alike knew that the Canadiens were still a rebuilding team, but after a stronger start, it feels like the team has a regressed to an even worse version of last year. Scott does his best to recap the game and try to figure out what needs to change.

Chief among those changes is the now overdue benching or scratching of Mike Matheson on defence. Scott takes a look at the disturbingly bad start to this season for the Habs top defender,and what might be causing him to struggle this badly so far.

Finally, with Jack Campbell on waivers the rumour mill is furiously firing on all cylinders namely when it comes to the Canadiens and goalie Jake Allen. Scott takes a peek at the cap situation in Edmonton, and what would need to be done to even facilitate the trade of Jake Allen to the Oilers. The biggest bump might be that it would require Montreal to more than likely take on Jack Campbell and his contract. With a five million dollar cap hit and several years left, how big a sweetener would need to be thrown in for the Canadiens and the fanbase to accept it?
