Have you ever wondered how a children’s book gets made? Where do you start? John talks with Michael Mullen about how he was approached to illustrate, “Introducing Stella” by Helena and Bob Ostendorf. Michael is one of the current artists located at the Downriver Council for the Arts building in Wyandotte, Michigan. Besides illustrating, Michael is a man of many talents – including graphic design, managing an 1891 Chandler Price letterpress, and playing a handful of musical instruments.
