Inside today's Locked on Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens crushed the Columbus Blue Jackets 8-2 on Saturday night. It showed the difference between a truly bad team right now, and a team that is still bad, but hasn't hit rock bottom yet. Led by Nick Suzuki's four points and Rafaël Harvey-Pinard's second period hat trick, the Habs romped in the game, and still maintained their lottery odds. Scott takes a peek at the latest in the race for Bedard and the week ahead for Montreal.

Then, because it's Monday that means it's time for Three Up, Three Down!

Squarely in the crosshairs of every Habs fan right now is the Department of Player Safety, who were called out directly from a grotesquely wounded Mike Hoffman after the Bruins game on Thursday. Also making the down list for the first time in awhile is Jake Allen, who seems to be mired in a tough slump, some of which isn't his fault, but going winless in seven straight starts is a tough feat to accomplish.

The Up list this week however is lengthy, very very lengthy. RHP notched his first NHL hat trick, Nick Suzuki had eight points in three games, while Kirby Dach looked amazing! That's to say nothing of the incredible efforts of Samuel Montembeault, and Mike Matheson who also played incredible well last week. There is plenty of praise to go around outside the NHL as well, and Scott does his best to make sure everyone gets their plaudits.
