I hope you’re having a nice Friday.
In minute 69, we’re still in the inventing room. We see lots of little glimpses of things that Willy Wonka is working on. Mr. Salt spends time sucking up to Wonka, and does so very well. By the end of the minute, we’re well on our way to seeing the famed candy that this show is named after. David gives us the lowdown on gelignite, which Wonka says is the secret behind the exploding candy, and questions using this material in candy. Also, we discuss the appropriateness of the Ogden Nash poem “Reflections on Ice Breaking” in a children’s film.
Have a great weekend, and we’ll see you back here on Monday!
