Charles Stevens and his friend Will Hsu successfully cycled the Silk Road from Beijing to Tehran raising 33k pounds for A Child Unheard in Ghana. The lads won national awards and have inspired millions of people with their tenacity and determination. Charles shares the ups and downs of the incredible journey; the scariest moments, being awe inspired and the team work required along the way. Charles reveals that the greatest challenge on this 114 day adventure was the facing the natural elements; particularly the weather. He shares some personal stories about some of the highs and lows on the trip as well as meeting a couple of teenage boys who he shared a meal with, discovering that they had more in common than he thought. This is a story of courage, endurance and spirit, achieved by the youngest team to ever complete this 10,000 km journey. Charles and Will were still teenagers at the time, which is an incredible feat and one that will hopefully inspire you to step outside of your comfort zone.
