This week, Sara and Kyle are joined by LA-based Areli Morales and Rachel Horn of Sustainable Cycles, a non-profit working to promote global health by providing bicycling and menstruation education. Through extensive bicycle touring across the U.S. and Mexico, groups of female-bodied bicyclists lead workshops and events designed to raise awareness of women’s health with a lens on reducing dependence on combustion engines, disposable products, and petroleum-based industries. Rachel is currently ending this year’s tour which took her from Los Angeles to Guadalajara to Mexico City to Austin to Atlanta - almost completely by bike. Areli has also helped with the U.S. launch of a new mobile app - Biko - designed to incentivize making short trips by bike and launching in cities across the U.S. later this year.
