Inside today's Locked on Canadiens:

The Canadiens are currently in full NHL Draft mode, but that hasn't stopped their AHL club from making moves before free agency begins. The Laval Rocket have signed former draft pick Xavier Simoneau to a one year, AHL contract, very similar to that of Rafaël Harvey-Pinard. Scott and Laura discuss how Simoneau can follow in Harvey-Pinard's footsteps, and what the future holds for the seventh round draft pick of the Canadiens.

Also, Colin White was bought out by the Ottawa Senators, and going into this past NHL Trade Deadline, the Canadiens were rumored to be interested in his services. NHL Insiders have seemingly confirmed that Montreal is again an extremely likely landing spot for White, but is he a fit for the rebuilding Canadiens? Even if he does end up here, does Colin White's arrival spell the end of Christian Dvorak's tenure at the same time?

To round out the show, a bit of speculation based on the hiring of a new GM in San Jose. With Mike Grier at the helm, there's likely to be changes to the San Jose Sharks roster as they need to shed salary in order to begin a re-tooling of their own properly. One name that may be on their buyout list is that of Marc-Edouard Vlasic, someone who has been linked to Montreal in the past. Would the aging defender be a proper fit on a dirt cheap contract? Or is it better to let the younger prospects find their own way and pass on Vlasic?
